A senior police officer has repeatedly denied in court that she failed to report a child abuse video because she wanted to protect members of her family. Williams, 54, took to the stand at the Old Bailey on Monday to deny charges of possessing an indecent image of a five-year-old girl being sexually abused, and failing in her duty to report it to police. The prosecution has said the defendant would have known the clip was about child abuse from a thumbnail image displayed when she accessed her WhatsApp account. But Williams, who at the time was the borough commander for Sutton in south London, told the jury she never saw the image of a man sexually assaulting a girl, and would have taken immediate taken action if she had. CHICAGO — Chicago police are investigating after a video surfaced of a year-old girl with disabilities being beaten by a group of teens. The video began circulating on social media Monday, but Chicago police said the girl was missing for five days before police were contacted. The girl was located Tuesday night and taken to the hospital where she was treated and released. She went home with her father. Community activist Stringer Harris, who spoke with the media before a police news conference Wednesday, identified the people who attacked the girl as six teens, five girls and one boy, between the ages of 15 and 18, who were her so-called friends. Waterloo Regional Police say a four-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in the common area of a Kitchener apartment building over the weekend. Police said the girl was playing in the common area of an apartment building on Brybeck Crescent at around 8 p. The suspect is being described as a white man, around five-feet-ten to six-feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a white baseball hat and grey striped T-shirt. At around noon on Tuesday, police released surveillance video of a man they are looking to speak with in connection with the case. Police say they are looking to see if there is any connection between the incident and two similar incidents which occurred in the region in and In each case, two girls were sexually assaulted at apartment buildings on Patricia Avenue in Kitchener and Barrie Street in Waterloo. Last summer, police announced they had DNA which connected the two incidents and they released a composite photo of the suspect in the case. Police say they are establishing a command post in the area and will be conducting a canvas of the neighbourhood on Tuesday.
